Painted Desert Sheep
These sheep shed instead of sheering!
This is Tuff  he is the sire to our blk / ewe. He belongs to Rafter SB.
This ram is Achilles, he is the sire to our new ram . Achilles also resides at Rafter
SB. We are hoping our little ram takes after his dad with the  trophy horns.
Pegasus is this proud ram. He is the father to our white ewe.
The Painted Desert Sheep are a great hobby sheep. The ewe's average
21-25 inches at the withers and weigh about 60-120 pound 's. They
are great mother's and usually need no assistance in lambing. They
are also known for having twins, triplets or even quads.
The Ram's are known for there Gladiator look and the huge trophy
horn's. They average 30 inches and up in height and 75-200 pound 's.
The ewe's should lamb 2 times a year starting at the young age of
6mths. The ram's should start reproducing at around 4-5mths of age.

We will be raising them , training our dog's to protect and to heard
them. Our children will also be showing (hopefully) at some of the
local  fair 's to start. We will be working on giving you more info on
the hair sheep as we learn about them. If you are wanting to start a
flock of your own you can visit Sarah at Rafter SB . She is very
informative and has some great sheep. Thank you for looking and
remember "we support our troops"!!
